Honestly I tested them thinking they’d be overhyped, but now I’ll go on a run just to have one

Really torn on these, had high hopes based on the reviews and marketing, so maybe they’re better than 3 stars but didn’t hit my personal bar.
Use them as maple syrup on a pancake, or equivalent snack, for pre run fuel, great. Tastes good, all natural extra energy.
However as a gel replacement on a run it wasn’t for me. The hint of salt that works well on food just made me need a drink. Too thin/runny that ripping the top of whilst running meant it kind of exploded over my hands.
