Fabulous workshop

I only starting sewing 15 months ago. I worked in Eastern Europe for 25 years finding factories for High Street brands, managing logistics and quality. I never had any interest in sewing until I retired! I absolutely love it and love your patterns. I had to made a tailored jacket as that had been our speciality over the years. Loved your video and the detail that you went into to. So very proud of my finished jacket, I am sure it will be the first of many, but next I am going to make the over shirt in linen!

A GREAT, detailed video and pattern

I loved sewing step by step with this video. This was my first crack at a lined blazer. I wish I had paid attention to the recommended fabrics ahead of time, instead of choosing such a heavy wool blend that didn't press well. But, I have already purchased MORE fabric to sew another one. It was so much fun, and so rewarding. I learned a lot!

hybrid tailoring method for the blazer

The fit of the muslin is very nice, and has enough room to wear a light sweater underneath. I am making a Harris tweed, so fusible interfacing throughout is not sufficient. I am applying the hybrid method as described in Alison Smith's tailoring book. My big complaint is that the roll line is not marked. It is needed to ensure that the lapels can be shaped properly by the combination of interfacings.
