The worst quality shoes I’ve ever had
I wanted to support a small European barefoot shoe brand instead of buying from big brands, but unfortunately my experience with Koops was very disappointing.
My €160 shoes arrived with visible manufacturing defects and poor glueing. Koops gave me a 70% refund for this.
After only a few days, the shoes showed significant wear, and in less than a month the sole started separating from the upper part, the shoe was falling apart and it looks really bad. In attached photos you can see my pair after wearing them for less than a month. In their responses, they repeatedly mention the 70% discount as if it addressed all issues, when in reality additional problems appeared afterwards.
What I find particularly frustrating is the company’s emphasis on sustainability. Sustainability is not just about avoiding waste, it’s also about durability. A €160 pair of shoes that lasts less than a month is not sustainable, regardless of where or how it was made. In my case I spent €44 for absolutely nothing and their team just keep repeating in their emails to me that I’m totally right and a customer should expect 100% flawless quality and long-term durability for this price, which doesn’t change the current situation at all.
The design and barefoot concept are great, but the quality of the product I received was unacceptable for the price.
