Asgard Expedition Grade Hardshell Jacket

I bought the Jöttnar Asgard Men’s Hardshell Jacket for a Svalbard expedition, so it’s been tested in proper Arctic conditions. It performed exactly as you’d want — excellent protection against wind and snow, and a really solid, durable feel without being restrictive. The fit works well for layering, and the hood is particularly good in high winds. Ventilation is also effective when working harder. It’s probably overbuilt for casual use, but in extreme conditions that’s exactly what you want. A very reliable shell when the weather turns.

Fortress

Awesome bit of kit, versatile for layering and a complete fortress from the elements. Haven’t been this impressed by a jacket since I bought the Jottnar Ragnarok years ago.

Serious Quality, Zero Fuss

Really impressed with the quality of the Asgard and how beautifully put together it is, without any of that stiff, crinkly feel. It kept me dry in a downpour, with a great hood, smooth zips, and well-designed pockets that all work exactly as they should — a jacket you can genuinely rely on. Jöttnar’s customer service is also outstanding.
