Super smooth! Very quiet, very little friction. Much better than my old glass pad, which felt very scratchy and which I was rather unhappy with.
The SP-005 and pure PTFE skates feels great both for daily use, and for gaming, and due to the low friction doesn't hurt my wrist during long sessions. The edges are also rounded and super smooth, meaning there's no irritation on my forearm.
I do wish there was a compact varient though. It fits my desk, but barely. For my needs it's comically oversized, taking up about half the room on my desktop, meaning I often have to put stuff on top of it instead of to the sides. There's no way I'll ever use the whole surface and it's slightly inconvenient.
No regrets though, even considering the high price compared to cloth pads. I don't think I'll be replacing this for a decade, so long as I don't drop anything on it!
