Look Cool
These are great looking boots. The grey is a little lighter than the photos suggest. My second pair - I've also got the tan - so I knew what to expect. I'd say that these are occasional wear use rather than daily.

Perfect for OS regulars - maybe not for others
Just taken delivery of the Andante "Dark Grey" Chelseas. Other commenter is quite right, the colour is a lot lighter than the photos. It's probably best described as "gun metal". If you're thinking that there's anything on the border of dark brown/dark grey, then the lens is deceptive (in fact depending on the various mirrors in your home you could see various shades., too. I have. Classic Chelsea but ridiculously well-made and the leather is incredibly supple. They don't feel as though they'll take a lot of breaking but I'll take the comments on advice, along with prior experience of OS shoes knowing that they'll pay off in the end (bit like adapting to a new but better mobile phone). Anyway, back to the colour: the appeal of the "dark grey" is the difference you can get with OS – aside from the standard blacks, browns and tans – that you can't really get anywhere else. So if you want something different but not completely outlandish, sober but still with an edge, and you're the type of bloke that can wear different but basically forget that you're wearing different (e.g. like wearing a white tux but forgetting that you're actually wearing a white tux; if you're conscious that you're wearing a white tux all night then stick to black!) then go for it. They're blinkin' lovely. The trousers obvs need to be markedly darker, definitely informal (they won't work with suit trousers; tried) and ideally narrow at the bottom to show the classic Chelsea line, shape and panel features. Great stuff. Pure OS.
