Dakota Dress in Ruby Red Polka

Lovely summer dress

The dress arrived the day after ordering! I'd ordered size M, but this was too large overall, so I returned it for the S, which is a very good fit, if rather long - I'm 5'2" (will need to take up the hem), normally a size 10/12. The dress is a very pleasing shade of red, not too harsh and arrived beautifully presented in its own cotton bag. The cotton is quite light and thin, so will need to be washed and worn with care, but the garment is lined so is not see-through. A very pretty dress, which I am looking forward to wearing.

Lovelier than I anticipated!

I really was not sure about this dress. Maybe, the color and the print, or maybe the style. Nevertheless, I decided to give it a try. As always , the prints and colors of Daydress are better in person! The red is beautiful and not bold, and the dot print is very sweet. This dress is entirely hand dyed and block printed which makes it even more special . The fit is very flattering and it fits true to size. I only wish that the fabric was less stiff, but I believe that it will soften with wash.

I can't wait to wear this beautiful dress. . . . . beautiful tomato red colour, great relaxed fit and because it's lined there's a great weight and movement to the fabric. Roll on the spring !
