Iron Goddess Oolong, Organic

Oolong is such a mellow, lovely tea, and this does the type proud. It’s so good, you close your eyes and hm softly with every sip. The scent, taste, color… everything. Beautiful. Perfect.

Based on the other teas I’ve loved from the Tea Spot (I’m obsessed with Russian Carrivan!), I had high hopes for Iron Goddess - one of my favorite types of tea. Unfortunately this was not great, as the flavors were muddy and flat and it lacked the characteristic floral/sweet notes I look for in a good tie guan yin. It was drinkable, but did not compare to other varieties of this tea I’ve loved or to the quality of other Tea Spot flavors.
