Some Good, Some Bad

Starting with the good the bike is great, completed a 40 mile ride 1500 ft of climbing so not a long ride playing with the assistance setting and was surprised still had 60% Charge left. it is heavier than I expected however only having carbon bikes for many years maybe just got to get used to it. Love the massive tyres soak up all the pot holes and a lovely soft ride. However now the bad, the delivery was shocking took 6 days to come FEDEX surpassed themselves miss two delivery dates and tried to deliver on a random day and was surprised no one was there. The bike come damaged yes only a small chip maybe done in transit maybe not noticed on preparation who knows, the gears were out of adjustment jumping between gears 2 and 3 adjusted myself, little things like no dust caps on the valves. feels like rushed out only to sit with FEDEX for 6 days. I rated the bike at 5 stars.

Quality

1st ride out and very good impressions. Well planted on the road and more than holds its own on gravel terrain. Feels safe going at high downhill speeds and the brakes are fantastic. Managed 35 miles and got home just before battery went; mind you, much of the ride was in boost mode. Would prefer a bit more range, so may need to invest in the battery range extender. But overall, very pleased with this bike and would recommend to any other fellow 50 something year olds and who are 15 stone plus as this thing will get you up those steep climbs which otherwise I could only dream of conquering! Can’t wait to get out on it again. Well done Orbea.
