At first, I wasn't the biggest fan of the backing, simply because I found it difficult to screw on, as the ball shaped backing (for the studs) kept falling out of my hand. However, once I got the hang of it, it really wasn't so difficult. I prefer this backing so much more now since it won't constantly stab the back of my ear like other earring backs. Now these are some of my favorite pieces!
