Basket Weave Brown Ranger

Belts are too short. My waist is 38 inches, and I ordered two2 40-inch basket weave ranger belts one black and one brown. They are two short as the buckle is comfortable on the second hole from the end. Measuring from the buckle edge to the fifth hole is 38 inches. Could there be an error in the label? What recourse do I have?

I like the quality of the belts!! I wish they were a little thinner as i struggle getting them through some pants loops. do you make belts that are a little thinner? Mark
