Program The Strutless is our magic kite for foiling and light wind freeride/freerace. Presentation For years GONG has held a unique concept of an extremely light kite with an optional fiberglass batten: the Strutless. The 30% volume saved by removing inflatable struts is a real asset when traveling. But that’s not the main argument. The real

First session with the new kite today, and my initial impression is very positive. I weigh 60 kg and used the 5m with 19m lines.
The conditions provided a great test: light wind close to the beach (dropping to 7–8 knots) and much stronger wind offshore, reaching 25–27 knots with gusts.
In light wind, it performed impressively. Crossing the waves on the foil required a bit of kite work, but its ability to stay airborne was outstanding. Even around 13–15 knots, when I lacked power for an immediate waterstart, it held steady without stalling.
Once riding, it felt stable and predictable. Even in 27-knot gusts, I never felt overpowered and still had plenty of top-end margin.
Overall, it handles light-wind relaunch and stability brilliantly while offering a remarkably wide wind range. A solid first test—very satisfied so far.

Strutless 15

Made for light wind conditions
A dream come true in constant light wind conditions. Easy relaunch even in light winds. Very stable in the air and easy to control but becomes uncomfortable quickly in gusty winds.
