Isla Navy Oversized Check Dress

Not a great cut (I really wanted to like it!)

I was hoping that this would be a loose dress to wear on hot days, but the arm holes are far too small, making it really uncomfortable to wear as it digs in. I wear a UK12 and ordered the medium, and the amount of fabric in a larger size would swamp me. The construction quality does seem really good, and I’m sure the cotton would wash really well and get softer over time. Just not the right cut for me.

Preordered this dress hoping to take it on holiday. I chose my usual size as it was described as oversized. While the fabric was lovely, unfortunately the dress was definitely not oversized and the arm holes were very snug. I have made many purchases through Turtledove and have been very happy with my purchases. Sadly, this dress had to be returned. Very disappointing.

New sizing is not inclusive

I usually love Turtledove dresses but this made me feel awful - I ordered size M & L as I'm usually between the old size 2 & 3 and neither fit over my chest! The material is lovely but I'm so disappointed. If this is a move towards excluding plus size customers, then well done.
