Solid Quality, Though Subtle in Character

I recently tried this coffee from The Barn and found it to be a thoroughly enjoyable, high-quality experience, even if it didn’t quite deliver all the flavor complexity I was hoping for. The coffee demonstrated excellent fundamentals: clean, well-extracted, and showcasing the careful roasting and sourcing that The Barn is known for. The body was smooth and the finish was pleasant, making for an easy-drinking cup that I looked forward to each morning. That said, I found some of the tasting notes a bit elusive. The bergamot character mentioned in the description, for instance, didn’t come through as prominently as I’d expected. I was anticipating a brighter, more pronounced citrus note, but instead found the cup to be more subtle and restrained. This isn’t necessarily a criticism, some might appreciate the understated approach, but for those seeking a coffee with bold, distinct flavor markers, this might not be the most expressive option. Despite the more muted flavor profile, the overall quality is undeniable. The coffee is well-balanced, free of defects, and demonstrates the technical excellence that makes The Barn a trusted ro​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​aster.
