Great service, great product
Finally used grey pine tar for my deck after 5 years of it having not being protected. I have cleaner using linseed soap, let it dry for 2-3 days before applying the pine tar. Loved how easy the product was applied, the smell is intense but wearing a mask is best. Great service as usual via the employees working at sage. Staff have in depth experience.

Stir often!
I am interested to see how this ages. I mixed it 30% with raw linseed oil (because I wanted more coverage and I wanted a better waterproofing finish) and I painted it on a 25 year old deck that had not previously had any finish. It evened out the appearance of the grey colour from a distance, but it was somewhat challenging to keep the application consistent; it collects around knots, which is fine, but if you don’t stir it enough it settles fast. They’re not kidding around when they say stir often.
The product has a pretty heady vapour, so pick a breezy day.

Pleased with application ease and speed of drying. Goes on thin and absorbs rapidly. Colour change to grey is happening as published after about a week
