Too tight on calves

I really wanted to like these - the toe space is definitely generous and lives up to the advertised quality. The upper part of the socks however, is very tight on my legs. I have large calves, and can’t wear most generally available socks. I wear diabetic socks, which are very generous in their stretch. Wide open socks do not have that give. They left deep marks on my legs, and eventually just rolled down to my ankles. I am not able to comfortably wear these socks.
