Gilded Lore Weather Clock by Theodora Gould

What a clock!!! (yes, I know I'm not the first owner to say that!)

I just LOVE my Gilded Lore Weather Clock — the beautiful artwork, the quirky weather proverbs steeped in traditional folklore, the shining golden sun at the centre, the fun of checking what it's showing every time I go past (and yes, it's usually pretty accurate!)... such a lovely and special thing to have in my home. I took up the suggestion of naming my clock, too — it had to be something to do with the gilded sun, so as a fan of Tolkien, I picked an Elvish name for the sun from one of his very earliest writings (The Book of Lost Tales): "Galmir the Goldgleamer". And so that's what she is. (Hence the name plate.) Thank you so much, all at Bramwell Brown for your amazing craftsmanship, and Theodora for her artistry. I just cannot get over how beautiful this clock is, every time I look at it!!

Another Beautiful Clock

This is our third clock that we have bought. We have one and two have been wedding gifts. They are all beautiful and a pleasure to look at. This latest one is especially pretty and the art work is beautiful. It arrived on the same day that our son and his new wife had an offer accepted on their first home so no pictures yet but they are excited to be able to hang their clock soon. The detail of the drawings are exquisite and the gold leaf is a perfect finish to the pictures. I know they will enjoy their clock. We love ours as do our children and our grandchildren. They arrive in secure packaging and we know that should there ever be a problem we are in safe hands. I definitly do recomend all their clocks, a wonderful investment that is enjoyed every single day.

We absolutely love our clock! My children love watching the clock face change to see what the weather is going to be. And the design by Theadora Gould is just adorable. I love the quotes and that we got sent postcards before our clock Arrived. It was so well packaged as well and you can tell a lot of care and attention has gone into making it. Thank you!
