The design of these shoes is gorgeous, and having worked in Italian footwear retail many years ago, I appreciate quality craftsmanship and beautiful design. That is why this experience has been so disappointing. There appears to be a hard lump or something sharp at the back of one shoe. Even with two band-aids applied to protect my heel, the shoe cut through them and injured my skin. The sizing itself is correct and I truly love the look of the shoes, however I am concerned this issue may not simply soften with wear. I attempted to wear them a second time with the same discomfort. Given the price point and what I consider to be a high-end quality product, I did not expect this. I am now taking them to my shoe repairer for advice as I am unsure what the best solution is.
