Tidal Waterproof Grab Handle

Good quality and sturdy construction. Feels robust enough to use in all types of weather and into the sea, then easily rinses off and dries quickly. This is clearly waterproof and the bonus of the Twiggy Tags Grab Handle is that they have a pattern embossed/indented into the line which helps to disperse water for gripping in wet conditions and also helps to give you better grip than a smooth waterproof grab handle. The carabiner may be more fiddly than trigger-release hooks but they give you greater peace of mind and the auto-lock makes them more convenient and quicker to use than climbing-style carabiners whilst being more secure than a ‘snap-lock’ carabiner clip. The stitched construction is strong and done with precision - which is something waterproof lines and handles often lack as they use the pins or the ‘bolts’ that are more convenient but make the breaking point of the lead questionable around these areas. I leave my Grab Handle attached to the harness whether I’m using the long line or not as it offers the always available ability to grab in an emergency, hold during training, and when close control is necessary in busy areas or with reactive dogs. I feel confident that my grip and my hold will not fail when using this Grab Handle in situations where I have had to hold or move away in a hurry.

I purchased the grab handle on a whim when I purchased the scramble harness unsure if we'd actually get much use from it but its become a main character in our set up. our girls a little nervous so it gives us an easy way to bring her in if we're crossing roads or her triggers at close proximity. And has also been super useful for off leash time and training as she can run around with it attached but we have an option to grab her if needed without cliping her back on her normal leash. Super high quality with the carabiner style clip like the other leashes and its super easy to clean.

This lead is lovely and soft to use. Very helpful to keep attached to my dogs harness during walks so I can grab whilst he’s on a long line if I need close control briefly
