Good Products, But Hard to Justify the Price
I really wanted to love Beardbrand because of its reputation, and I have to say the Old Money scent is excellent. It’s refined, pleasant, and my wife absolutely loves it.
I purchased the Beard Oil, Utility Balm, Utility Wash, and Utility Softener, and after giving them a fair amount of time, my overall impression is that they’re… okay.
Nothing is bad. Everything works. But nothing really impressed me either.
For a premium-priced brand, I expected my beard to feel noticeably softer, better hydrated, and healthier. Instead, the results were average. The products did what they were supposed to do, but I never felt they performed at a level that justified the price.
If these products were significantly less expensive, I’d probably rate them much higher because they’re perfectly usable. At their current price, though, I expected something that truly stood out.
Overall, I’d give them about 3 out of 5 stars. Not because they’re bad—they’re not—but because, in my experience, they’re simply average products sold at a premium price. I don’t regret trying them, but I personally wouldn’t purchase them again.
