I popped the Samsung 990 Pro 4TB in mine. Easy to instal. Rapid coupled with my M4 Max MBP. Video editing over TB5 to this drive is instant. It does get warm but the internal fan keeps it from overheating and is silent.

I have a 4TB WD ssd in my Acasis TB501Pro and the read/write speeds are comparable to my Mac Studio and at way less a cost than if I had added 4TB internally from Apple. Brilliant device - you might want to get a slightly thicker heat sync - Acasis provide 0.5 and 1mm whereas 1.5 or even 2mm are better to ensure proper connection to the enclosure
