SSL Fusion Full Bundle

Great Enhancement Tool

I bought it mainly for the stereo enhancement tool as it seems to have less artifacts than the others that I’ve tried. It keeps good correlation and doesn’t sound phasey. The drive and transformer is good too. I will be working with the others to try as a whole but so far highly recommended. As always, Awesome deal and super fast response and delivery from Audio Deluxe.

Task oriented, superbly curated controls

For me, the biggest value from SSL is their curation of the controls. The controls presented and the ranges are spot on for getting great results in real working conditions in very little time. Sure, I can cobble together something with multiple other plugins to achieve in some cases identical technical results. But in context of knocking out a mix, there is no comparison. SSL curated controls and ranges allow to do something in seconds that would take 45 minutes at best with a cobbled together solution. About the only ding I can give this bundle is the Fusion Vintage Drive has no anti-aliasing and no native ability to kick up the internal sample rate to at least deal with the problem. Every saturation plugin that gets aggressive suffers from aliasing and this is known for at least 20 years now, yet SSL doesn't include mitigation? Even lower tier makers offer internal oversample options to deal with aliasing. Oddly, the transformer plugin tests to have aliasing completely dealt with... So the Vintage drive is 3 stars and the rest 5 stars and 4.5 stars for the bundle.

Analog Vibe for the Master-Bus

Got the SSL Fusion bundle on a killer deal and honestly, it’s hard to find a better value for your master bus. The Vintage Drive and Transformer add that subtle, analog weight and harmonic grit you usually only get from high-end outboard gear, while the Violet EQ has the smoothest top-end "air" without ever sounding harsh. Stereo Image and the HF Compressor are also fantastic for subtly gluing everything together and taming harshness. The only minor annoyance is having five separate windows to juggle instead of a single rack, but for the sound quality you get, especially on sale, it's an absolute no-brainer. Highly recommended for giving mixes that polished, expensive finish.
