239’s are a Disappointment
I own a pair of the road 238’s. Based on the website information 239’s should have been an upgrade. They are not. The toe box is not the same, it is narrower and uncomfortable. It’s not truly noticeable until you put power through the pedals. Also, the tongue is another disappointment.

An open toe box shoe !
I wear a mens 12 in Altra and ordered a 46.5 wide. I could have gotten away with 46 but in the winter I wear wool socks so the extra .5 will help. I tried Bontrager, Pear Izumi, and these fit perfect. Not sure on the durability but so far these see to fit the bill.

Worth the Investment
I'm new to road/gravel cycling but recognize the importance of a good shoe. I looked at all the brands and all the models and I'm so glad I bought these. You can feel the quality in the materials. The two way double boa is definitely the way to go. The fit and feel are tremendous. I'm also glad I went with a gravel shoe - traction when off the bike, a good grip when out of the clips, etc. I was in between the wide and regular width and glad I went with wide. It gave me a little more room for an insert and I don't feel any movement. Fantastic shoe.
