Comfy, like any quality boot theres a break in period. After just a couple sessions there right on point!

Cozy

The shoes fit like a glove (the second pair), i did find the sizing tool was 1/2 size to large and i felt like i did a good job of tilting the pencil and pressing into the socks i ride in to get an accurate outline, i suspect the difference is in the way you measure heel to toe. Their instructions show a diagonal max dim, but if you instead fit your foot into a rectangle it then predicted the correct size for me. Not saying to do it this way, thats just my experience. I sent the same feedback/question to lake but no response as of yet. At least i know my lake size now. No problems returning the unused shoes VS other reviewers. The important thing is to not wear them outside or mount cleats, just try them on in your living room before you actually use them and returning should be no problem at all. Also - there is a plastic boomerang on the upper lace that i cannot figure out what its for. I have watched reviews, read instructions, circle searched it, all i can find is that its meant to help take some pressure of a part of your foot if you have a sore - but how to actually use it is a mystery - apparently nobody knows...

This is my third pair of Lake shoes and you couldn’t ask for a more precise and comfortable fit. And they stand the test of time. Lake cycling shoes are the best cycling shoes you’ll ever own, period!
