I've spent 12 years in the motorcycle industry selling riding gear and riding motorcycles so I've a pretty good eye for details and production quality.
Despite this been a casual jacket and a jacket replica of one of my favourite Belstaff designs used in one of my favourite films ,I couldn't be happier with my purchase!
I'll start with the visual side as ordering a jacket often starts with well the look!
The jacket details are awesome, YKK gunmetal chunky zips( could use them as a make shift saw) are smooth and snag free , the metal colour really suits the jacket too.
The red isn't in your face ,it's a nice dark almost pre weathered red , the black is as it is black, not charcoal or off black it's dark and again compliments the red really well.
Stitching now this sets it apart, nice folds with plenty of over lap ,not stitched on the limit like many jackets I've seen .
The liner is the same ,. really nice robust material that after three months of every day wear hasn't bobbled or torn anywhere.
Now I'm a big guy ,not quite William Perry big but I'm 6ft 1 and solid , I ordered a 3XL based on my physical measurements, the fit , length wise is spot on sitting on the waist as are the arm length , chest is perfect along with the neck fit.
When done up the jacket feels extremely comfy , snug as I couldn't put anything underneath with out it feeling tight , as described by Soul Revolver,these jackets are best worn with a very thin layer .
The jacket been lambs leather is comfy straight out the well presented slip case it comes in ,along with a nice letter, it softens further when worn, as for stretching it does where you move but it doesn't lose it's shape to much either, the grain is nice , not mega deep but subtle enough to add some texture to the surface.
Pockets are really useful and well sized , I did read that the pockets were small but I can say they're not on this particular sized jacket, easily holding my phone, wallet and keys but I rarely put things in my pockets so I'll leave it at that.
Delivery was around 3 weeks , I really can't think of anything negative, this jacket rivals brands costing so much more on the build front and in a few places like liners and stitching exceeds many.
I've had a few compliments wearing it and when I've shown the website to those people they were surprised that the jacket wasn't near the £1000 mark .
If in doubt about buying a Soul Revolver jacket don't be , they're fantastic!
