Size discrepancy

I purchased this onesie for my son in size 3-6 months and it was way too tight on him. He’s only 11 weeks old. A few other burrs bees onesies we’ve purchased in size 3-6 months are still a little big on him which is the fit we were expecting. I’m not sure why there is such a big size discrepancy in the 3-6 month range.
