Medieval Chain Mail Ring Fragment - Display Card

I received a clear example of a chian mail link. It makes me wonder about the use of chain mail as protection in battle, how it was made, repaired, and passed on from father to son with stories of battles fought.

The product is legitimate and authentic. My only complaint is that they show two ringlets of chainmail in what they sell, and I only got a single ringlet. Had I known it was just one single ringlet, I might not have bought it.
