Whisper light - indeed

My first reaction after pulling it out of the package was- "what"???? It felt like nothing and I had sincere doubts it would be of any use. I took it to the mountains anyway and got really excited about it- especially when I woke up to fog, rain showers and a howling wind, with temperatures in the low 40s. This supposedly "flimsy" shell over my rather thin down jacket kept me warm and dry. I am female, 5.9, 148 lbs. The medium fits just fine, including over layers, and the hood is just the right size- neither wobbling around nor constraining.
