The Mood Mojo fresheners have an obviously elegant design, particularly the metallic colors. The shoelace styled string is great for hanging from a rear-view mirror, drawer handle, magnet hook, or whatever you can devise to use to hang it. Get creative! The glass is thick and of good quality and the colored bead is a nice touch to the aesthetic. It holds about ¼ ounce of fragrance oil solution. To label this a “car freshener” seems limiting. It can be used to freshen up a cubicle, drawer, car, closet, or a similar type of small enclosed space.
I have used this product in my vehicle for about 3 weeks and I have refreshed the wooden cover (beneath the plastic cover with the design cutouts) 2-3 times. It hangs from my rear-view mirror (before using, consult with your local laws to be sure it is legal to hang anything from the mirror in your vehicle). Each time I enter my vehicle it smells great! This is a great alternative to those old Christmas trees that that lose scent overtime. I recommend using the same fragrance with the same bottle and cover. You can refill the bottle as many times as you like. I also prefer the Mood Mojo to the cheap fresheners that clip to your vents because the scent doesn’t blast your nostrils each time you turn on the heater or fan. However, on warm or hot days the oil will evaporate faster resulting in a stronger scent, thus a more fragrant vehicle.
In order to use this product, unscrew the wooden lid/plastic cover combo and remove the plastic plug from the bottle. I suggest using a pipette to fill the bottle. Once filled, screw the lid on without the plastic stopper, and you can shake (I haven’t tried this) or quickly flip the bottle a couple of times to saturate to the wood. Don’t overdo it or you will likely to waste the excess oil that the wood doesn’t absorb and be stuck with an EXTREMELY strong scent causing you to move the freshener to a larger space to dry. Holding it with a napkin, unscrew the saturated wooden lid/plastic cover combination and replace the plastic plug, then replace the cover. I strongly recommend following the directions provided on the site. Another thing to be mindful of is that the wood top is threaded and it is NOT water tight. This means that when you invert the bottle, you most likely will experience fragrance oil solution seeping out from between the threads and where the string threads through the cover. Oil will likely get on your fingers and possibly on your clothing if you’re careless. In order to prevent this I suggest keeping a couple of paper towels handy to fold and place around the area where the wooden cap and glass container meet as well as where the string threads through the cover in order to absorb the oil that comes out. Use the another paper towel to wipe the outside of the glass. This will protect your car interior as well as prevent you from walking around smelling like your chosen fragrance (this happened to me once). If oil gets on your hands, wash them.
I give this product a 4 star rating due to the seepage issue. Other than that, the Mood Mojo freshener is a truly outstanding product! Well priced and worth every cent.
