The Trail Lair is a symmetrical gathered-end hammock with a fully integrated, retractable bug net. Four zipper pulls allow you to create two separate openings anywhere along the length of the hammock, making it easy to enter, exit, or adjust gear without completely opening the net.
This flexibility is especially useful for hammock campers

Loving it!
Highly recommend the Trail Lair! I've taken it backpacking once, canoe camping once, and I slept in it in my backyard 3 or 4 nights so far. I'm new to hammocking, but did tons of research on hammockforums prior to choosing the SLD Trail Lair. I'm old school, but I even used AI to analyze people's purchase criteria, their satisfaction, their regret, etc - and SLD kept coming to the top of the list I'm 6'2", 240lb, and prefer a very firm/flat mattress, so I knew I needed a fabric with near zero stretch. Jared had MTN 1.7 in stock, and was able to make it and ship it in time for my trip, so I was thrilled. As I'd hoped, I'm able to lay sufficiently flat and I have not had any back pains after waking. I'll still use my cot for car camping, but my backpacking tent is now being used my my kids while I hang. VERY SATISFIED!

Trail Lair super comfortable and roomy
I have gotten the chance to use the hammock for a 4 night trip, it has been the best sleep I have gotten from a hammock so far. I will be taking it to a few more trips to really get a more deeper feel for the trail lair but for now it’s been amazing.

Custom trail lair
Jared was very responsive and knowledgeable with all my questions. I had him make a 11ft by 64" hexon 1.6 trail lair. This hammock is very comfortable. I will definitely be ordering more gear from SLD.
