Enjoyable
Harder than the original game (which 3/4 of us appreciated). The new gameplay mechanics, while similar to the Fellowship game, took a bit of getting used to. We finished our first time through the Towers game and mixed some of the characters in with the Fellowship characters, and are enjoying playing it that way, with our house rules.

This game is an outstanding follow-up to one of the best games of 2025. Great for two players in my opinion, but I LOVE playing solo. You don't need to be an LOTR fan, but if you are, the game shines thematically. Beautiful art. Inexpensive. Loads of replayability. And challenging. You will lose. If you have a basic understanding of universal trick-taking mechanics, you will be playing in minutes. The chapters have a variety of special rules and cards, but those changes are simple - often being explained in one to two sentences. Outstanding game. 8.5/10

If you liked the first, you will like the sequel
Everyone that I introduced to the fellowship trick taking game has loved it and many have picked up their own copies. The sequel has proven to be no different, following the same structure but introducing its own twists that make it a worthy follow up. Highly recommended.
