Crown of Salt is an impressive and superbly well crafted expansion to the Mörk Borg universe. I interpret this as an adventure book, which means you will need the core rules to play. (Available on the Mörk Borg website as text only, but check out the actual book if you want the full experience).
The book has a well thought out setting, with a consistent and oppressive feel, unique and interesting encounters and twists, including a few mechanics which is great for a GM to help keep the party on track. The adventure also features a few incredible concepts and well written characters, which are easy to understand and formatted in the traditional MB way.
While reading through the book the only thing I spotted that seemed out of place was a misspelling or misprint under the Oddities Section where the word 'Roll' was printed as 'Rol'. Where as this is not something one should expect with any printed product that I buy, it should not happen it is jarring for me to see in an otherwise stunning book. But do not let that subtract from the presentation, the innovation or the frankly fantastic finish of the book. The artwork and the material, page quality and cover are of exceptional quality and the theming is sure to stand out on the bookshelf.
In summary, this book is worth it for any one even remotely interested in Mörk Borg, its extended universe and the art. The Crown of Salt is a well written adventure that can be replayed with different results, heavy on the theming and atmosphere, with lethal and quirky rules bordering balancing between brutality and hilarity, yet they are easy to understand and implement. I wholeheartedly recommend Crown of Salt.

illustrations are amazing, evocative, and pair really well with the writing; the setting and lore building are really eerie and i loved the feeling of reading a story while preparing the game - i cannot wait for my players to experience this tale!
