Great Lightweight Pant
They're great pants, great for travel and work. You should buy them. A couple of critiques that probably only pertain to me: I wish these where the exact same as the heavier Utility Pant, just the lighter material. I very much miss the side dump pocket zipper like on the other Utility Pant. I think the side dump pocket configuration should be the same as the heavy version, maybe a little deeper. I personally would prefer a higher rise on both styles of pants. And lastly, I don't need a plastic "D" Ring especially where it's placed. I'm not going to use it. If it were on one side or the other where I normally clip my keys to a belt loop then it'd be used, and if it were a Brass "D" Ring that would super cool but I know that raises costs. (I told you it was only pertinent to me). Again-Great Pants.

Solid Pants. Tight Fit.
These pants are definitely lighter and more comfortable in hot weather than the other pants made by 1620. They are high quality and the stitching is solid. They should last for years like the previous pants I have purchased from 1620. Unfortunately, they are much tighter in the waist and thighs than the Foundation Pant. It would've been nice if there was consistency in sizing across the different pants, but they're still great pants. If in doubt, size up.

Disappointed
Like most of you, I wanted to buy a quality pant from an American manufacturer and was willing to pay the price. I ended up returning the pants and felt it worthwhile to share my experience. There are a number of "sacrifices" compared to a typical Amazon order. 1. It takes a long time to receive your item. 2. Communication from this seller is poor. My emails were largely ignored or were very late to respond. 3. The sizing of the pants I ordered was way off. I've worn 36/32 for decades and if anything I am slimmer now that previous years. Despite that the pants I eventually received were very tight. I don't think this is excusable in 2026 when cut patterns are so well established. 4. Returns and refunds are very slow, taking at least 2 weeks for me to get a refund, and there was a deduction for shipping despite the pants being made too small. So in summary I won't be ordering again for the above reasons. I didn't expect a small company to be able to compete with Amazon in every area, but there's no excuse for poor communication and incorrectly sized pants, especially when you're charging top dollar.
