We have used this model for about ten years at our hot springs campground. It is used to monitor the pool temperatures several times a day, every day. It is fast and accurate. It is waterproof, so if dropped into the pool, it will not cause harm. It floats, and most other metal-cased thermometers don't. If mislaid or dropped, the bright yellow color is important. The battery lasts over a year, even with constant use. What is not to like?
