I thought this product was going to be great. Unfortunately the zipper not completely closing makes it not 100% waterproof. Its a design flaw - not a zipoer issue. You will still need to carry the items inside in a warerproof bag. I got it after much research and I was in a situation in the French Riviera where my husband and i had to take turns going in a busy beach water area so we could take turns watchung our sunglasses, money, phone, passport. Save your money and bring a plastic baggie instead.

great idea
This is very nice looking and convenient for a stroll on the beach and I'm generally happy with the purchase. There are not a lot of products like this on the market. I have not used yet, so can't rate this on effectiveness of the waterproofing the contents but giving this 4 stars because I have a few 'trust' issues about the security of the clasp and effectiveness of the waterproofing as compared to dry bag type of products. The zipper is very difficult to open (on purpose) in order to ensure that it closes completely/. I'm used to waterproof bags that have a double seal on them so I'm not sure I'd be willing to put my cell phone in this without additional protection. It would be super easy to not close this all the way and have a disaster. Also, a comment on the belt clasp - it is made of metal and a quality item. However, it is easy to unclip with just a quick pinch - given how powerful ocean waves can be I'm worried that it might come unclipped by accident so an extra clipping lock similar to ant- theft type of bags would be super helpful and add to my comfort level. I wouldn't mind some fun colors too. I would purchase this again for general beach activities, but am going to also ensure my cell phone has a waterproof case if I plan to be in the water :)

Haven't tried it out 'in the wild' but seems to wok 90% of the time
The item was on back order and arrived too late for me to take it on the trip for which I had purchased it. I've submerged it a few times in water [in the sink] with items inside of it. For the most part, the items are dry (water droplets have leaked in a couple of times). The zipper is hard to open and close, likely due to it's water-tight nature. It's definitely not a bag that I'll be able to open and close frequently, I'm likely not going to pull my phone out quickly while I'm in the water like I had initially thought. It's just a water tight storage that I can keep on my person when I'm swimming in public places.
