2.5-Layer Shell

Just bought this and have only had one opportunity to wear it in some light rain. It performed great in that! Looking forward to our California El Niño to really give it a go! I had the original version of this jacket and it wasn’t as waterproof as I expected. However, the materials on this newest iteration definitely will keep me dry. I have another jacket that has held up very well in rainy weather that has similar material. Also, I sized up to a XXL in this one to be able to wear a warmer layer underneath (sweatshirt, puffer jacket) for cold and rainy days. I am 6’5” and weigh 235lbs. The sleeves are very generous in length and the overall fit is what I have been looking for. Great job! Highly recommend!

This rain shell performed excellent recently in a couple of monsoon downpours here in the San Diego mountains. This jacket is tailored to fit better than my last rain shell from L.L.Bean. Bring on the El Nino rains!
