Great Tasting and Easy to Brew
Ordered this because I had a friend coming to visit from Europe who loves Belgian ales, and it was a hit with him and other friends I shared it with.
The recipe was very easy to follow, and after racking, I ended up with about 44 twelve ounce bottles. Not a bad loss for a great quality brew.
Positives about it:
Great Malty and Candy flavor
Amazing head retention
Only downside was that some bottles were overcarbonated, but fortunately, that didn't happen with the ones I handed to friends.

Dubbel Ale (Abbey /. Trappist style)
This is totally awesome. Many years ago I entered a contest and made a Trappist Ale Dubbel and it was a very SIMPLE recipe. I took 2nd place in the Minnesota Brewfest that Michael Jackson attended as one of the judges.
I won't tell you the recipe because virtually all of the ingredients I used were no longer made. So, I managed to clone that yeast and keep it alive through 7 generations and then one time I waited to long. For many years I've tried to make this Ale.
FiNALLY, I got the St Krausided's Dubbel Ale Extract kit and it is almost identical. The ale as a Great mouth feel, it leaves a lace on the glass, and if you move the glass around in a circle the head comes back up. The head itself is delicious. It has a slight Banana Estery taste (not cloves which is also "correct for the style"). The NOSE is awesome too.
I will be making this again. And oh, this is the first time I have ever received labels (of any kind) that FIT on the bottle cap.
Fast Delivery and Great Service.
