This is the second hat I have ordered from Cuyana and although the hats themselves are beautiful, sizing and transportation is a problem. Following the measuring instructions on the website, I am definitely size 56. The first hat I ordered from Cuyana a year ago, was the wide brimmed packable Ecuadorian hat sz 56. It arrived a decent fit but badly crushed even though it was shipped in a dedicated hat box. It was replaced with the same size tag, however the new hat is very small and I have worn it only once as it puts too much pressure on my head. It is a beautiful hat. I am a sewest who has created and sewn everything from reenactment clothing to embroidery embellished children’s dresses and prom dresses and I do know how to measure my own head for millinery sizing. The bucket hat I just received arrived in a box which contained only brown paper for support. It is a beautiful soft material but due to the lack of support within the box and inside the crown of the hat, it is badly crushed on one side of the front. I will have to seek out guidance as to correcting this damage. It is very disappointing after waiting so long for it to come back in stock.
