First thing I’ll say is I have quite a few pairs of Idyllwind boots, they are always comfy and my fave brand. This boot was a miss for me - online it appears more cognac color but it was much darker in person - more a rich dark brown. And since I was hoping for the cognac color I was disappointed. I tried them on and wore them around my house on carpet for a bit and they were super stiff and tough around the heel area, and tough to walk in - that I had to double check that I ordered the right size. I’m usually a 7.5 but always order an 8 for a little wiggle room. So I decided to exchange them at boot barn for the “buttercup” style that was more of a darker brown shade that I prefer if I was going to stick with a darker brown anyhow. Buttercup was instantly comfortable and I have had no breaking in issues at all.
