I bought a small pack of the peat incense from curiosity, because my mum used to have an open fire, and often burnt peat blocks. This was decades ago, when you could get them in Sussex! I loved going to see her, and the scent brought back such lovely memories. I couldn't resist getting the cottage burner, and seeing the smoke curling from the chimney just filled me with delight. Sometimes the small, simple pleasures really are the best.
