FIFI STOOL

I really like the design and uniqueness of this item. Sadly I can only give it a one star because the item arrived with one leg entirely broken off. It appears there was an issue with the wood or this is a design flaw because the shipping box was not damaged. The broken part basically desingrated into dust where it was inserted into the base, which was in turn was secured with four screws to the base of the stool. There was a strong odor associated with this item which suggest rushed manufacturing and the wood was not allowed to cure before it was used. There was also excessive shedding of the wool. Alice Lane did a wonderful job offering to replace or refund. I elected the refund because of the concern with the design and quality of this item.
