Two Pairs In, Zero Regrets: A Goodr Review
I've now put two pairs of Goodr sunglasses through their paces — the Sunbathing with Wizards and the Gardening with a Kraken — and both have earned a permanent spot in my daily rotation. Let's start with lens performance, because that's what actually matters. Both pairs offer excellent polarization and zero bounce, which I can confirm after extensive field testing, including several sessions of actual sunbathing (with wizards) and actual gardening (with a kraken assisting, reluctantly, from the koi pond). No slipping, no bouncing, no glare — even when the wizard insisted on adjusting the sun's angle "for dramatic effect. " The Sunbathing with Wizards pair handles high-glare conditions with ease. I found this especially useful during a midsummer incident involving a levitating beach towel and an argument about whether SPF applies to familiars. The frames stayed put through all of it. The Gardening with a Kraken pair is where things get more technical. Tentacle-adjacent activities require gear that won't fly off at the first sign of chaos, and these didn't budge — not when the kraken knocked over the wheelbarrow, not when it tried to "help" with the tomato stakes, and not during the customary post-gardening squabble over who gets to use the hose first. The no-slip grip held firm through it all. Frame durability across both pairs has been excellent. No scratches, no loose hinges, no mysterious wizard-related warping. Lightweight enough to forget you're wearing them, sturdy enough to survive a kraken's idea of "gentle enthusiasm. " Overall: highly recommend. Whether you're relaxing under a conjured sun or defending your vegetable beds from an overly involved cephalopod, Goodr has you covered. Five stars, would sunbathe with wizards and garden with krakens again.
