MDC 18650 to E-Series Body

This is a great body for any e-series application. The quality is outstanding and the silky smooth threads are a joy to unscrew. The adapter collar is what makes it possible to insert 18650 batteries into a body that accepts e-series heads. At the moment I am using it with a VME head and M61. I have found that if you attach the collar to the head first and then attach the head assembly to the body, when it is time for a battery change the collar will stay within the head when you unscrew it. This body makes all of my other e-series ones redundant.

Perfect for upgrading capacity from 16650 body for my MDC head. With the un-shrouded body I can also use it with a HOT head for night time training. Customer service was outstanding as usual.

The build quality feels very solid. I love I can use a 18650 battery instead of 2 cr123a or the 16650. My few knocks on this body is the adapter for the head. When changing batteries, there's a likely chance the head comes of cleanly but leaves the adapter stuck to the body and can be a little inconvenient to get off. I wished the tailcap was removable to get around this and maybe create a lockout mode. The last things is a personal issue and not on the light. I only wished it got the shrouded version instead of the unshrouded. I initially was hoping the smaller thyrm switchback would fit and wanted a more ease of activation. But did the switchback did not fit. So for everyday carry I find the unshrouded will occasionally activate and drain the battery but for duty carry I don't seem to run into this issue since is in a dedicated pouch/holster.
