Powertex Powerwax - Cold wax painting medium -250gr

Very happy with it so far

It’s pretty close to simulating cold wax/oils. A day or two to fully dry on my panel. Palette mixtures dried very fast so I switched to Golden Open paints. Worked much better. Dries matte. Surface retains crisp texture without much shrinkage like you’d see in a gel. Feel like I’d like to seal it with matte medium though. Don’t know how well it would work on stretched canvas. Definitely gonna keep playing with it. Thanks for making this product!

Keeps acrylic paints moist longer

Initially, I wasn't excited about this product, but upon more experimenting, I now really like it with acrylics. For one thing, it keeps acrylic paint from rapidly drying out. That allows more time to move the paint around on the surface as well as keeping the initial paint mixture moist.

This is the first time using cold wax. Researched different types, watched videos and picked Powerwax. It was fun and easy to use. It doesn't have a heavy fragrance. I love how it extends the time I can use my acrylics without them drying out. It took awhile to get used to the drying time between layers, But I like the finished look.
