More comfortable but messier than a cup

I'm torn about whether I prefer the nixit disc or a traditional menstrual cup (which I used for over a decade). The nixit is definitely more comfortable once you figure out how to position it correctly—I really don't notice wearing it at all (to the point I sometimes forget it's there to empty it!), and there's no feeling of suction or abrasion from a stem, so that I'm loving. It's also slightly easier, and definitely more comfortable, to put in and take out than a cup. However, it's a lot messier than a cup: not only is there no real way to consistently remove it without spilling some of the contents and getting it all over your hand, the fact that it frequently empties just while going to the bathroom means I'm constantly wiping up blood from myself, which I don't have to do with a cup. It also does leak—initially I wasn't positioning it right, but I've got it now and it still sometimes shifts and dumps everything out, which almost never happened with my cup. So I'm not entirely convinced—the disc is a lot less noticeable, but the period itself actually is! But I also haven't switched back to a cup, so I guess I'm happy with the tradeoff for now.

Never going back

Very good! I’m pleasantly surprised by how well it works. The only downside is that it only comes in one size. I think I would benefit from a smaller option.

Get a bit of time to get used to but wouldnt go back now
