Handle with care

This filter is very fragile. After taking it out of its plastic wrapper, the carbon block broke in half. It took me 15 minutes to be able to fit it back together, inside its sleave, in order to get it to seat properly in the filter housing. I hope it last at least 6 months and doesn't disintegrate. I have been installing these types of filters for 30 years and this is the first time I have ever experienced this.
