The nut used to attach plastic tubing to pool-related fixtures such as a chlorinator is frequently subject to failure when the ferrule inside it breaks away, and leaks occur. Replacements aren't always possible to obtain locally or cheaply, and these are of good quality and I like being able to buy them in quantity. A great purchase in my opinion.
