Very well made with a brass reinforcement ring inserted into the body of the female threaded portion going onto the tank. You get what you pay for. Highly recommended!

3/8 fitting improved RO flow

A 3/8" shut-off valve at the RO storage tank and 3/8 tubing has helped me raise the flow rate of my RO system by about about 20%. I also changed the post carbon filter body to 3/8" ported unit. I have a roughly 30' run from the RO system in the basement to a refrigerator in the kitchen above that I also upgraded from 1/4" to 3/8" tubing. The refrigerator is plumbed internally with 1/4" tube so I wasn't expecting a miracle, but the 3/8" up-sizing from the RO storage tank through to the refrigerator helped the flowrate. It has certainly reduced the family frustration level when filling a glass of water or a kettle at the refrigerator now. As I said, 1/4" to 3/8" upgrade gave about 20% more flow.
