Kodiak With Mesh Oilskin Hat

Not quite perfect

Hat hat did its job keeping my head rather cooler than most with its mesh on a rather warm spring day. However, with the mesh allowed enough sun to go through to my rather bald pate and I got a significant sun burn under the hat. Otherwise, very comfortable and good feel to the hat. Brim shades my face and neck.

Great Hat

After looking at many different hats I choose this one. It fits good and is well made unlike many that are cheap and flimsy. Sizing worked well and the customer service was fantastic. I would buy for them again for sure.

Best Hat Ever

I bought the same hat 3 years ago and didn't condition it every year like suggested. After hiking in the rain for hours, the material on the brim had some wrinkeling, but it still kept my face and head dry. I have since conditioned it after I bought this new hat and besides the wrinkeling, it looks like new. It might become my new work hat. Before I bought the first hat, I would go through about 3 brimmed hats in a year because they just don't hold up. 20 bucks a hat adds up. This one might cost more upfront, but it is well worth it.
