We enjoy coming back to Fiddlershop after a very successful purchase two years ago. In that time, our daughter had made leaps in her studies. However— she just hadn’t grown (physically) all that much. So we make improvements to aids her sounds in small steps: new strings, better rosin, new string again. Finally, we took a shot and ordered her a new bow. Now I want to say that the bow that came with her OB1 was just fine, but my word, this bow had changed her sound!!! It’s so much richer. She loves it, and is really enjoying practicing much more with her new bow! Great bow

My daughter’s teacher wanted my DD to upgrade her bow from carbon fiber to wood for more flexibility. The Holstein 1-star bow is the highest quality wood bow for 1/4 size on Fiddlershop. We also tried over a dozen other bows locally including a $350 Pernambuco bow but the teacher picked this one for its rich sound and quality. My daughter also says this bow is definitely lighter and easier to maneuver than her previous carbon fiber bow. We’re very happy with this purchase. Hope Fiddlershop can offer more higher quality wood bows options for fractional sizes.
